Psalm 34:3-4 NKJV
‘Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought
the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears’
Galatians 5:16–18 NKJV
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the
flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the
things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not
under the law.
1. In The Spirit
John 4:23–24 NKJV
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers
will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such
to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must
worship in spirit and truth.”
John 15:7–8 NKJV
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you
desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified,
that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
2. Walk It Out
“Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the Flesh.”
Walk Greek = peripateō
– to make one’s way, progress; to make due use of opportunities.
Progress- keep moving forward!
– To make use of opportunities!
– To regulate one’s life
– To conduct one’s self
Fulfill Greek =
– to bring to a close, to finish, to end
– passed, finished
– to perform, execute, complete, so that the thing done corresponds
to what has been said or commanded.
3. Works Are Not Bad
James 2:14 NKJV
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does
not have works? Can faith save him?
Weymouth’s translation
“What good is it my brethren, if a man professes to have faith and yet
his actions do not correspond?
Isaiah 61:3 NKJV
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NKJV
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not
proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it
keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices
with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres. Love never fails.
John 15:9–11 NKJV
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I
have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you,
and that your joy may be full.
