Essentially we are taught more about the world that we are visiting then the world that we are from.
This natural world should not be more real to us than the Kingdom Of God!
John 6:32–35 NKJV
Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
Psalm 107:20 NKJV
He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.
Luke 4:4 NKJV
But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ ”
1. The Word Is Alive.
Hebrews 4:12 NLT
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
The more time you spend with the Life the easier it is for you to know what’s not life
Alive – Greek “zao”
to live, breathe, be among the living (not lifeless, not dead)
Powerful / Active Greek Word – energēs
Same root word energy
active, operative:—effectual (successful in producing), powerful.
Romans 4:20 NKJV
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Colossians 1:27–28 NKJV
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
Romans 1:16–17 NKJV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Colossians 2:9–10 NKJV
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
2. Meditating in the Word of God
Joshua 1:8 NKJV
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
- You will deal Wisely in the affairs of Life
- Prosperous
- Good Success
- Observe to do
Proverbs 4:20–23 NKJV
My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
Shut yourself alone with your spirit, and shut the world out. If you have ambitions to do something worthwhile, I suggest that you begin by taking ten or fifteen minutes daily for meditation. Begin the development of your spirit.
