Resist The Devil
Saturday October 30, 2021

Notes
As believers, we are redeemed from the curse: sin, sickness, and poverty, but we can still leave the door opened to the devil.
Anything that steals, kills, or destroys directly or indirectly comes from Satan. God is not participating in it.
John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Colossians 1:13
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son..
James 4:7
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
3 primary ways believers open the door to the devil
1. The Loss of Peace
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Peace comes before anything you’re needing from God. He always deals with us along the lines of peace.
Mark 5:34 KJV
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Mark 5:34 AMPC
….Go in [b](into) peace and be continually healed and freed from your [[c]distressing bodily] disease.
Different ways we lose our peace
Worry
Philippians 3:13 KJV
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Isaiah 43:25 KJV
25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins
Don’t touch it in your thought life.
Fear
Fear is not just a feeling. Fear is a spirit.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Fear will attack you in these three areas: your authority, your love walk, and your soundness of mind, yet these are the three things that will keep fear out.
Doubt
When God says something, it’s true and He’ll bring it to pass
When you resist doubt, you’re resisting the devil, because doubt never comes from God.
2. Veering from the Plan of God
When you step outside of God’s will for your life, you step outside of protection and all that goes along with his plan.
The only thing that will make you happy in life is to quit living for yourself and start living for God’s plan.
3. A Lack of Gratitude
Philippians 4:4 NKJV
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
There will come tests and trials, but if you stay thankful you won’t live in them.
“What you cry about today, you’ll laugh about tomorrow.”
