Light Invasion

Notes
Invasion – Takeover, occupation, overwhelming assault, overrun.
How do you remove the power of darkness? Light!
1. TURN THE LIGHT ON!
John 1:1–6 NKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Matthew 12:35–36 NKJV
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
John 6:63 NKJV
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
2. HEALING TYPES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
The Atonement
1. Compensation, repayment for an offense or injury.
He had a way to make atonement for his sins.
2. the reconciliation of God and humankind through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ
Romans 5:12 NKJV
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned
You see that sin was the original problem..
it is clear that disease, and death, entered into the world by sin.
As soon as disease has advanced beyond the power of nature to restore us, it will result in death in every case unless removed by the power of God. All honest physicians will admit that they claim only the power to assist nature, not to heal.
In Exodus 12 ,
why were the Israelites required to eat the flesh of the Passover lamb for physical strength?
It was to show that we can receive physical life, or strength, from Christ, who is “our passover sacrificed for us”
1 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
Through the Fall, we lost everything. Jesus recovered it all through His atonement.
The Year of Jubilee
*Leviticus 25:10 NKJV*
And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.
The order in the Year of Jubilee was this:
1. first, the atonement. A young bull was sacrificed.
2. then, the sounding of the trumpet of the Jubilee, with the glad tidings, “Ye shall return
every man unto his possession.”
the order is the same now:
1. Calvary, then, the Gospel trumpet that He “bare our sins” (1 Pet. 2:24), “bare our sicknesses” (Matt. 8:17), and so on, to be sounded “to every creature”
2. Mark 16:15 go into all the world and preach the gospel, this showing us that we may “return every man unto his possession.”
3. KEEP THE LIGHT ON
Proverbs 4:20–23 NKJV
My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
Isaiah 53:4 WEB (World English Bible)
Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
1 Peter 2:24
24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
Galatians 3:13-14
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Colossians 1:12–14 NKJV
giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
