Notes
1 Corinthians 2:9–12 NKJV
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
Know – To Perceive, to Understand and to Experience
1. GO DEEPER
Job 32:8 NKJV
But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.
Ephesians 1:16–21 NKJV
do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
Proverbs 7:1–3 NKJV
My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you. 2 Keep my commands and live,And my law as the apple of your eye. 3 Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart.
John 6:63 NKJV
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
“I want to challenge you to meditate on the word of God constantly, as if it were your very breath. Speak it out loud. Think about it all day. Let it roll around in your mind and spirit. The word of God is made of spirit just like your body is made of cells. When you speak the healing word, you are literally rebuilding your body in the spirit realm, cell by cell. Soon it will be visible in the natural realm!” – Amy Keesee Freudiger
Romans 8:10–13 NKJV
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
2. SOMETHINGS GOT TO GIVE!
James 3:2–4 NKJV
For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.
Psalm 103:1–5 NKJV
Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
