CULTURE – HONOR
We gladly submit to God’s authority and those placed above us. Our honor sets the highest standard, as we value and recognize the God-given gifts each person brings.
Honor Greek t-i-m-e (Te-me)
A valuing of something, weighty & precious.
To esteem, to regard, to respect. Favorable, something precious, to show appreciation, to respect.
The opposite is to dishonor.
Dishonor– means to not show respect or value to treat as common to treat as ordinary, to think of something, light common, and easily done away with such as a vapor.

1. A PROPHET’S REWARD
Matthew 10:40–42 NKJV
He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
John 13:20 NKJV
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”
Ephesians 4:11–13 NKJV
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
2. GREAT PROFIT
1 Samuel 2:30 NKJV
…But now the Lord says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.
1 Peter 5:5 NKJV
Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
But gives grace to the humble.”
Hebrews 13:17 NKJV
Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:12–13 NLT
Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. 13 Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.
