The things we must do for God

What MUST be done for God, MUST be done now! Here are eight important things we must know, must do & must tell others.

Acts 16:30–31 NKJV

And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

There is only one way to receive salvation, not many!

John 14:6 NKJV

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus is THE way, not A way!

Acts 4:12 NKJV

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Romans 5:17 NKJV

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Salvation is a free gift, but it must be received!

2 Timothy 2:6 NKJV

The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.

Hardworking farmers need to replenish their spent energy. Living by faith expends spiritual energy that must be replenished.

Joshua 1:8 NKJV

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Psalm 1:1–3 NKJV

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

This is the importance of consistency!

2 Timothy 2:3 NKJV

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Good soldiers must know how to endure hardship!

Acts 9:15–16 NKJV

But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

Paul was told he must suffer great things for the Name of Jesus.

Matthew 16:24 NKJV

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

1 Peter 4:12 NKJV

Its normal to experience hardship!

But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,

We must continue in what we’ve learned.

Let us walk by the same rule… what got us here will keep us and sustain us till the end.

Acts 27:24 NKJV

saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you

Each of us must stand before our “Caesar”. God will do what is necessary to protect us until our assignments from Him are finished.

John 8:20 NKJV

These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid hands on Him, for His hour had not yet come.
They couldn’t stop Jesus until his hour had come.

Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. John 9:1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Verse 6
Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
Verse 11

We must “run aground” on certain islands. Malta was not on Paul’s itinerary, but it was on God’s!

He must increase, but I must decrease.
The more mature we become, the more we must let the Lord be Lord in our lives.

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
