Notes
1. Stand
Ephesians 6:10–17 NIV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after
you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. This is telling us that there will be days of pressure.
Genesis 3:1 KJV
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2. Hold On
Mark 4:16-17
These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble.
The moment you receive the word Satan is coming for it.
Hebrews 10:23 NKJV
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Hold Fast
Greek: katechō
kata to come down with great force so hard and heavy
Echo – to hold back, detain, retain from going away to restrain, hinder (the course or progress of) to check a ship’s headway i.e. to hold or head the ship
Together it means:
repeat (someone’s words or opinions), typically to express agreement.
repeat, restate, reiterate; copy, imitate, mimic; reproduce, recite, quote,
regurgitate.
Satan’s goal is to To separate you from your belief. If you can recognize a source of information coming to you, you can always succeed
3. Be Unstoppable
1 Timothy 6:12 NIV
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Fight means to resist the force that is coming against you! You tap into the Power Of god upon you in resisting. Make a decision today I’m going to beat this thing I’m going to stand!
Matthew 6:31
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Ephesians 6:16–17 NIV
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Take up the shield
I believe the reason why he is saying take up the shield is because so many
times we set it down.
2 Corinthians 10:4–6 NKJV
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling
down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts
itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the
obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your
obedience is fulfilled.
When fear would come I would say “fear I resist you in the name of Jesus”
