Building With God’s Plan
1. HIS PLAN
Psalm 127:1
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it…
Psalm 139:15–18 NKJV
My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
Ask God For His Plan
There is something about the Lord—there are just some things He won’t tell unless you ask Him because He is a perfect gentleman. No, He won’t intrude upon you and interrupt you. The Holy Spirit won’t do that either.” – Kenneth Hagin
Ephesians 1:18 NKJV
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
“Dear friends, if you’re too busy to wait on God to discover His plan, you may go through your entire life and everything you do will be in vain. Then what will you say to God when you stand before Him in eternity? He won’t ask you about those things you did according to your ideas and plans. He will want to know what you did about His plan for your life.” – Kenneth Hagin
Psalm 65:11–13 NKJV
You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance. 12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side. 13 The pastures are clothed with flocks;
The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.
2. COMPLETE SURRENDER
Matthew 6:33 AMPC
33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
3. CHECK YOUR MOTIVES
James 4:1–3 NKJV
Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
Matthew 23:11–12 NKJV
But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Psalm 139:1–4 NKJV
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
4. WILLING & OBEDIENT
Isaiah 1:19–20 NKJV
If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; 20 But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
