Notes
Psalm 91:1–16 NKJV
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousandat your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.

To dwell, remain, sit, abide, to be inhabited…
1. MADE TO LIVE HERE
Genesis 1:11 NKJV
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.
Genesis 1:20–21 NKJV
Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
When he made the animals he spoke to the earth (Genesis 1:24 NKJV): Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth,
Here is what’s amazing about God, when he made man He spoke to Himself. “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…” We were made to live in the presence of God. We came from Him, we can only become truly fruitful in Him, and when we leave this earth we will go back to him.
Psalm 63:1-5
O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. 2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. 3Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. 4Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
2. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING
HE CHANGES YOUR FOCUS
It has more to do with your focus on God than it does anything else.
– I become less me focused.
– I become God centered not me at the center.
The opposite of love in the world is hate. In the church the opposite of love is self.
IT’S MAKES YOU PLIABLE
In order for God to change your life we need to be like the clay on the potters wheel, soft and pliable.
PEACE
Jesus is the Prince of Peace, lives inside of us. We can walk in Gods peace no matter how big the problem we are facing. Focus on the Holy Spirit, and the power of His indwelling presence. He is the comforter, who brings us peace and rest.
DIRECTION & INSTRUCTION
Psalms 25:14 Passion
There’s a private place reserved for the lovers of God, Where they sit near Him and receive The revelation-secrets of His promises.”
Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
PROTECTION
Psalm 27:5
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
Psalm 31:20
You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues.
STRENGTH
Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint
Acts 3:19b
times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
- COME INTO HIS PRESENCE
Psalm 100:1–5 NKJV
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
1 Corinthians 14:2–4 NKJV
For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
