Notes
1. Live Life
Ephesians 2:8–9 NKJV
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
2 Corinthians 5:20–21NKJV
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Matthew 7:21–23 NKJV
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
You make a public declaration Jesus I am saying you are in control of my whole life! The moment you do this He comes in, makes you new, and now you have the ability to live right.
2. His Life Wins
John 15:9 NKJV
As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
What Is the Fruit of the Righteous?
Proverbs 11:30 NKJV
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.
Genesis 2:9 NKJV
The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
God wants us to understand that being righteous is being fruitful.
The fruit of our relationship with God gives hope to a lost confused and hurting world. God’s fruit gives eternal life to those living in darkness and death. This righteous fruit impacts how we relate and connect to those who have never tasted it. This enables us to touch the hearts of people God desires to live in.
Psalm 34:8 NKJV
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
The fruit from this “Tree of Life” is defined clearly in Galatians as the “fruit of love”.
Galatians 5:22–23 NKJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
John 15:4–5 NKJV
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
John 15:16–17 NKJV
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.
3. Life By Faith
Galatians 2:20 NKJV
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Philippians 2:13 NKJV
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
